Traditionally , a true leader is a military leader who leads his men into battle. History is replete with examples of wars wherein the war was an acid test of true leadership of any army. Leader has to have skills, acumen, and vision and these come from what we call is Leadership qualities. In the Selection of Offcers for the armed forces what is assessed is these qualities /traits in potential candidates. These qualities oft referred to as leadership traits are at different level of development in different people.

Col(Dr) Mohinder Pal Singh is an alumni of St Xaviers college , Mumbai . He joined IMA as a direct entry candidate in July 1988 and subsequently served with the MAHAR Regiment. During his 30 years of service in the army he served in all kinds of terrain including high altitude and deserts. Apart from other courses he also successfully completed the Commando Training from the Commando Wing of Infantry School. He was also an instructor in Infantry School. He has been a GTO in 19 SSB from 2002 to 2006 and Sr GTO, 14 SSB from 2010 to 2012. During these two tenures he assessed over 13000 candidates at SSB. Later, while in service he was tasked to establish a SSB training school at Mahar Regiment Centre , Saugor where he mentored many soldiers from the Mahar Regiment for SSB and that initiative achieved tremendous results.
Apart form being a successful GTO and a successful SSB Mentor, Col Mohinder Pal Singh is a PhD from Allahabad University and author of four books on leadership , team building and International Relations.
Faculty ( Communication skill and General Studies)
Ms Gurleen Kaur completed her graduation from St. Xavier's College, Ranchi, and her post-graduation from the Department of East Asian Studies, Delhi University. She has been serving as a Social Science faculty member in DAV school. She is an avid reader of fiction as well as non-fiction, and takes an active interest in socio-political issues, current affairs, and international relations.
Guest Faculty (Personality Development)
Mrs Shiva Priya Roy, is having 17yrs teaching experience with senior classes and a career counselor . She is also a personal counselor ( Specialized in dealing -Fear, anxiety, confidence and depression) . She is known personality developer and a motivational speaker.

Colonel SB Singh is an Ex- Interviewing Officer of Selection Center East, Bhopal. He has assessed over 2000 candidates during his service time. He has a vast experience of guiding candidates for preparation of SSB interviews.
Guest Faculty (GTO & Stage 1)
Colonel Sandeep Sharma is an Ex- Interviewing Officer of 19 SSB, Selection Center East, Allahabad. He has assessed over 2000 candidates during his service time. He has a vast experience of guiding candidates for preparation of GTO for SSB interviews. He has helped a lot candidates to clear the SSB Interviews.

All the successful candidates can select the AFSB venue and AFSB interview date, once done, they are required to download the AFSB interview call letter from the same portal for AFCAT 2 2018. Candidates are suggested to choose the correct date and venue as per their convenience. AFSB interview dates selection for AFCAT 2 2018 will be active soon.
AFCAT 2 2018 AFSB/SSB Interview Date Selection:
Candidates who have cleared the written exam successfully can select their AFSB venue and interview date once the option is active. The selection of date and venue will be based on first come first serve basis, every date will have limited number of slots i.e. fixed number of candidates can select a particular date, the allocation will be based on first come first serve.
Choose your AFSB interview date and venue wisely, once selected, it will be difficult for you to change it. Make sure you also check for traveling arrangements before opting for a particular venue and SSB date.
If you are failed to select an AFSB venue and date before the given time, you will alloted the same randomly.

Got to AFCAT CDAC website.
Click on candidates login.
Enter your login details
Click on Result and AFSB Selection.
You will see the available dates and AFSB venue with the number of slots available.
Make sure you read the instructions on the screen before selecting a date.
You might face issues while applying, you can keep trying till you get the date.

It is suggested to candidates who have given choice of flying branch should select Dehradun, Mysore, and Varanasi as their first preference if available and last preference Gandhinagar.

All the candidates who are appearing for AFCAT-2, 2018 can download their admit card for the AFCAT exam on 18 August and AFCAT EKT Exam on 19 August.
